About Me / Age Singer, Songwriter, and Actress are but a few of the nouns which can be used to classify the 20 year-old beauty. Born to a Puerto Rican mother and a Mexican father, Chachi’s first language was Spanish. This self-professed “Siren,” has spent her entire life learning and exploring the eras of music and has ventured into many different genres of music. “I am greatly inspired by music from the 20's, 40's, and 50's specifically. The elements of old blues, jazz, and soul really move me and inspire me personally in my musical style.” From an early age, she began to sing. Her father being a musician, it was only natural for Chachi to love singing and performing. At the age of four she had songs memorized and would sing many Spanish songs from Gloria Trevi to Marco Antonio Solis. “I was a huge fan of Gloria Trevi, I remember I used to throw myself on the floor singing her mega-hit Pelo Suelto, I was only four then. It was really funny.” At thirteen Chachi was auditioning for projects in Los Angeles and performing all over the Bay Area and the Central Valley. Chachi’s unique sound and sweet coquette voice was a breath of fresh air and attracted much attention to the petite girl with the big voice. In 2005 Chachi landed her first appearance on the television show “Cante y Gane,” on the TV Azteca television station. On the show she sang the soulful ballad “Contigo En La Distancia” and won first place in the talent competition amongst the other contestants on the show. Chachi then went on to the finals. It was only a matter of time before Chachi was recognized by the Annual Central Valley Stammy Awards, where she was nominated in more than one category. Chachi won the Best Latin Artist Award. Shortly after Chachi began working with Bay Area producers Mic the Producer: “Head Over Heels” and “Cupcakin,” and Latin King on the Keys, Baby Boss: “Too Sexy,” “2 Can Play that Game,” and “Superstar.” What is so captivating about Chachi’s fresh sound is a mixture of a sweet-soulful-kittenish sound mixed with an edgy club vibe. We will definitely be seeing much of this bilingual beauty. “I definitely embrace being a Latina, even though my songs are all in English I wouldn’t hesitate to someday crossover to the Latin charts. It’s actually something I look forward to.” There is no doubt this Latina beauty will start making big waves in the music industry.
