RETAILMENOT.COM amasses coupon codes for discounts at 15,000 online merchants. After you enter the e-tailer's Web address, you will get a code to receive your price break. Go mobile with cellfire.com, a site that lets you access coupons on your cell phone. Then you show the code on your tiny screen when you are at checkout.

HONESTY.COM lets you know how much things usually go for on eBay and what's currently for sale there, so you don't overpay when you buy. Type in an item name for price comparisons on current and recent eBay listings.

PRICESPIDER.COM and WISHRADAR.COM hunt online for the items you want at the most you're willing to pay. Create a wish list and the most you'd spend for each purchase. Then the sites search for the products, e-mailing you when they turn up your desired price - or less.

BOOKINGBUDDY.COM consolidates many travel sites to get you low airfares, hotels, car rentals, and vacation packages with a targeted search. Enter details of your trip once, and then click on the names of the Websites you want Bookingbuddy to search - from Expedia to Priceline.

It's a day that would make any son proud... My 61 year-old mother got married to her long-time partner, Bonnie, on Saturday, October 4th. Bonnie has a nephew who is a brewer, and a cousin who runs a winery, so needless to say my mom is now part of the right family! Check out the winery in Napa where the wedding was held (using the panoramic stitch feature on my camera - holla!):

One of my favorite aspects of the evening was when almost the entire wedding party - including guests - were in on a plot to keep my grandma away from alcohol. We had a bottle of "fake wine" that anyone who was asked to get her a drink had to go pour from. The glass in her hand is full of the alcohol-free stuff, and she never new!

The marriage makes my family a whole lot bigger! I grew up an only child, and now have two step-sisters, a step-brother-in-law, and a 3 year-old niece, Brenna. She's so cute! And of course, there is Bonnie - who even on the morning after her wedding, was nice enough to make breakfast for us kids. Here's the happy couple walking down the isle:

One thing you can do to ensure that my mom and Bonnie live a happy life together without worrying about the legal aspects of being a couple is VOTE NO ON PROP. 8! Seriously, it does nothing to help anyone... And if it passes, people like my mom have to fight a whole lot harder just to be happy... So vote NO!
